2004 Honda accord lx 5spd, slowly turns over wont run.
Hello all, i would love to get some help with the issue on my new to me accord. i recently purchased my accord in a does don't start condition for 300 dollars. this past Saturday i started trouble shooting the issue. the person i purchased it form said it just shutoff one day while he was going through a stop sign, and it wouldn't start back. so i checked all the fuses for literally everything, all fuses are good, then i checked fuel pressure- its good. i installed a new battery, tried turning it over and it turns very easy and slow with no attempt to actually fire, checked for spark and its getting spark - good white spark with a hint of blue. with the plug removed and turning it over you can smell gas when compression stroke comes up. removed oil fill cap and observed the cam shaft turning. With it turning over so slow and never attempting to fire at all i am leaning towards the motor jumped time. because when it turns over its like the starter isn't under any load, like there is no compression in the motor ? this would suggest its out of time correct? i would like to get the car running as soon as possible i have a daughter that will be driving in about a month. any and all suggestions and pointers will be greatly appreciated. thanks.
