2004 Accord Loud Ticking Sound
2004 EX V6 Accord w/ 185k.
My Accord is producing a ticking sound along with a bonus whine. This started getting louder over the past few thousand miles. I've read about various potential sources of this - valves, cam, exhaust, timing belt, bearings - but wanted to post a vid w/ sound for feedback. I changed the timing belt and tensioner today and the ticking remains, although the whine seems to have reduced. I also changed the accessory belt/tensioner a few thousand miles ago, to rule that out.
I'm hoping this is simply a valve adjust need or bearing on AC compressor.
Thanks in advance for any insight!

That is definitely not the valves, too big a clicking and not fast enough. I'm thinking accessory bearing or you broke something in the engine.
Can't narrow it down better? Take a screwdriver and carefully put the business end on a part (block, head, a/c compressor, etc) and your ear to the handle until you find the clicking part. Or, you could use a mechanics stethescope but, that clicking is so loud you ought to be able to locate the offending part by ear.

Thanks. I'll give that a go. I'm heading out of town for a couple weeks, but will post results when I get back and hunt it down. I should mention that power seems good and smooth through the band.
The only other change that took place when this seemed to get worse was an oil change a few thousand miles ago. The shop overfilled (I'd say .75 qt). Didn't see any foaming of oil or anything.
In the meantime, any other good leads are appreciated! Thanks.
