Default 2003 Honda accord transmission jerks

I have a 2003 Honda Accord with over 100k miles. The transmission started jerking so I changed the fluid and replaced it with the castor oil honda trans fluid. But it continue to jerk when the car shifts between gears. Can anyone give me some advice

Start saving up. Reman transmissions are around $3500-5000 installed. Or find a place that rebuilds them but make sure they replace the torque converter and all clutch packs

Is it the 4cylinder or the V6? Please post or edit your original post information about the car.

if its a v6, this will probably be true for the 4 cylinder too, try to find the transmission filter and replace it. Its simple on the v6.

another good trick for v6 is swapping out the silver hockey puck "transmission warmer" and ATF passage for the odyssey minivan's automatic transmission fluid passage (that's what Honda calls it). The minivan's ATF passage is set up for a transmission cooler, which will extend whatever lifespan is left in your transmission.

Oh, and either way, be very gentle with the gas pedal. Ease onto it slowly, be smooth and gentle with it

It's usually too late to change the fluid, after it starts slipping. Drive it gently while you look for a transmission.

Wait. A jerk....like it slips then engages harshly?

You could try to use the proper fluid (ATF DW1) and see what happens....but usually that's a sign that its on its way out
