18x8.5 w/ 225/40 tires???
is it okay to put 225 on 8.5 width wheels? i've been searching around and i can't really find a good explanation why it is or is not okay to put 225 on 8.5 width wheels. can anyone help me? thanks.

theres probably nothing wrong with the width ,but the only thing is that ur rim might stick out the fender , i have 235/40/18 rims, with a 18x7.5 width and they line up perfect with the fender...

+40... anything from a +40-+45 will be golden
+40 is really perfect for front... in the rear if you were inclined you could go with a 9.5" rim and fill the gap more. I am going to use a 10mmm spacer and extended lugs
