Hi Guys, I recently purchased a 2003 Honda Accord EX and the text on the audio controls on the steering wheel is all faded out and wanted to see if this is an easy change??

Do I need to remove the air bag in order to replace that audio switch?? I tried to find a video for this but had no luck.

yes in order to Remove the Audio Switch or the Cruise Switch you have to remove the Drivers Airbag.

how much of a pain was this to do? i've taken out a few airbags in integras and civics, but never an accord like this. just picked one up and the buttons are worn pretty bad.

its not hard really just make sure you have the steering wheel pointed straight ahead and also the front wheels. And make Sure to disconnect the battery cables negative first and positive last. Wait three minutes before working on the drivers side. then get a ratchet and torx bit. think its a 25T bit loosen the screws then carefully remove Airbag Module.

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions, I'll give this a try in the near future. I would try the lighted mod but I think i'll save the headache just replace the regular ones.
