I saw this in the civic section an thought it was a good topic.. Lets see how it goes for us ACCORD people...

-You just have to have that H22 Swap or Turbo.
-Youve baked your headlights to take them apart an paint them for the uber "JDM" look.
-Think every other ACCORD needs suspension to take care of the "boat" look.
-Just cant stand most civics
-Dreads the thought of having to replace rotors on your HOR design
-Has "I <3 My CD" sticker.

I'm with you... I'm really tired of paying people to do my rotors because I don't have the tools.

Here are some things I at least think about when the subject of my Accord comes up.

-When you get pissed when people call your Accord a Civic, just because they see a Honda badge and have never heard of any other Hondas (Happens more times than I care to think about).
-Have heard a million stories about how you should have gotten a Civic (doesn't happen much anymore, but back in the fast and furious days everyone thought they were fast... right...).
-Have endless debates on the proper aftermarket wheel size for Accords because the varying body sizes make it hard for anyone to agree.
-People are shocked to find out my car is a stick (No idea why this happens, but it does).

you have a cb7 AND a cd7 in your driveway or garage.
when you have a set of prelude sawblabes on one of your accords
when you converted your rear drums to disc
when you wish the cb front seats were more comfortable or swapped them out for other seats

have oil in the spark plug tubes.
you wish it was easy to fix up and have all the aftermarket support like civics..but still dont want a civic.
you laugh when a stock civic tries to race your stock accord.
you have a H22 under your hood, but want more power

-Adrenaline starts flowing whenever a Civic pulls up next to you
-Loves seeing hot chicks in 2 door Accords but hates seeing them driving 2 door civics.
-Always say CB7, or CD5, but has no idea what an EJ8 is
-some says "Blah blah blah according to honda..." and you laugh
- your licences plate is "F22"
-Feels great when you smoke a stock Civic with a stock Accord

- When you have one in your garage that is stripped down to the very last bolt.
- Each and every section of the car has it's own labeled containers full of nuts, bolts and other fasteners.
- Every room in your house contains a part off your Accord.
- One of those rooms just happens to contain your complete interior.....I mean complete!
- and every minute you have to yourself is spent fabricating or even just thinking of fabricating parts to make it look/perform better.
- You put a seat in the drivers side of that stripped Accord and take beer breaks. Trying to get a feel for where everything should be placed. and
- Imagining the day you finally get to take it around the track or go WOT in front of a crowd of people.

It's been a few years now. It really is a labor of love though. That's why I don't rush it. I couldn't do this stuff for a living, unless I was in charge of the deadlines..lol

Well, the bathroom downstairs has a laundry tub in it where I always clean and dry parts. At one point in time I even had some trim panels in the upstairs bath tub. So Yes, I have had parts in my bathroom for a day or two at one time or another...lol

- You owned more than one Accord before and still didn't want to give up the old one when you bought a new one.

- You wanted to see how many miles the Accord can last, and is willing to drive it to the ground.

- You sometimes embarrass a teenager in their stock Civic, cause the Civic driver thinks their car is faster than everyone else.

- You still have old Accord parts in your garage, even though you don't own the old Accord anymore.

- You buy Accord parts from Tas Auto, Handa Accessories, Majestic Honda, etc.

- You come on Honda Tech forum and post in the correct Accord forum section.

- You're not an Accord owner when you own a Civic and come post in the Honda Tech Accord forum section.

-When you have a 5th gen and tell your g/f thats a 94 and thats a 97 and she doesn't realize how you can tell the difference when in your mind you are screaming "THEY DONT EVEN LOOK THE SAME!"

-You see another Accord and stalk their car to look for any mods then realize they are creeped out

-You're heart sinks when you see a senior citizen driving one

-You go to a car show and see 400 Civics and not one Accord

Lol. Years ago, I saw a guy with a different kind of deflector on his hood (still never saw another Accord with it to this day) and was trying to follow him to get a better look at it or ask him about it, he seemed to get a little nervous and started driving off like crazy.

True story:

You know you're an Accord owner when:

- Years ago, female co-worker friends tell you to get rid of your CRX Si/Civic as that is not a dating car for women, only girls.

- Friends give you advice to not get a Civic; but, at least an Accord or a luxury car, even though you drive a lot of miles and want the fuel economy.

-your car is mostly stock and thats how you want it.
-you wish you had an h22 so you could feel your vtec.
-everytime you see ricer alteza lights your blood runs hot.
-you know "the boat look" doesnt refer to the car being wider than a civic.
-you drive a honda and loath compact parking spaces.
-fart cans make you almost as mad as that civic with purple PnP HID's you see almost everyday.
-you know why your accord doesnt have tail lights on the trunk but the one in front of you at the stop light does, even though the body looks the same to your passengers.

From my personal collection of experiences . . .

- You get extremely excited when you see an accord for sale with not even a hint of rust on the rear quarter panels

- You changed your fuel filter once and decided that no matter how many more miles you drive the car, once HAS to be enough

- You finally got that turbo on your H22 swapped accord only to realize that wheel-hop is God's way of saying "Should that Honda really be getting off the line that fast?"

* I couldn't agree more. it's even worse when the senior citizen's accord looks better than yours cuz they rarely drive it at all.... so you know it's sitting in their garage most of the time.* HAHAHAHA
