it wont really make a difference on a stock eng. its nice being able to drop your vtec engagement point ... personally it made my vtec hit alot harder ... im not stock yet im not built either but maybe thats just me?

Mine goes on at 2300. I thought that you dropped it below that.
I made a vtec light (for diagnosis) when I did my manual swap to see if I had vtec or not. Then I rigged up the auto ecu to read that I'm always going 35 mph, and now I can launch in vtec at anything above 2300 rpm. The cluster reads correctly though.

Re: (FunnyVictor86)
The only upgrades I have is a stock CAI (aka no resonator), a manual swap, and a 20mm rear sway bar. Everything else is stock, including the auto ECU. The stock engagement point is as low as 2300 (it goes on at 2300 every time under acceleration). When cruising, it will stay off up to 3500ish (85-90 mph). After that speed, every time I even touch the gas to hold my speed going up a slight incline, vtec kicks in.

Try setting it to 2300. I drove without vtec for a while, and it was a pain in the ***. No power at all. So I'm pretty sure that's how it feels when you don't have vtec until 3500+. And obviously, when it kicks in then, you'll feel it.
Edit: forgot to add that I have an Exedy stage 1 clutch. Tons of fun to drive.

Stock is a floating point starting at 2300, doesn't always start then. Statically setting it there then becomes an issue as the other requirements aren't probably met - which is probably why you noted power loss.

As a side note, the VTEC in my H22 is statically set at 4600 and I wouldn't go much lower than 3500 static on the F22

Ah, now it makes sense. Didn't realize that the vafc always engages at that point (I'm a little out of it right now). In that case, 3500 sounds like a good starting point.
