How are your transmission fluid levels? Maybe its time for a fluid change.

So, when you give it gas from a stop, it hesitates then feels like it catches? How many miles are on the car and when is the last time the transmission fluid has been changed?

Is this the V6 or l4 engine? Sounds like your shift solenoid screens need cleaning.

I'm not sure if D4 lights up. I just bought a code reader, went thru the basics try it on the open road see what it says

Not sure which solenoid screen you need to clean on yours. I have the V6 and had the same symtoms. Cleaned the screens out (they were quite plugged) and now it shifts great. Does your D4 light flash ever? Do you have any codes set?

I know on the V6 the solenoid screens are pretty simple to clean out. I also did a fluid purge instead of just a fluid change.
