as far as fuel economy, a Jacobs Ice Pack is a cheap way to go, but as far as wires and plugs, though unlikely, it is possible you got 1hp. Honda ignition systems are pretty decent from the factory. jm2c

Jacobs is a comapny in TX that makes ignition systems. The Ice Pack is their kit for most sport compacts. Its very effective, cheaper than MSD, very easy to install. The higher energy, better controlled spark provides for better combustion and thus increased fuel economy. Your engine will run smoother too. BTW, this isn't second hand rice advice, its fact and I have literally 6 or 7 friends with VWs to Hondas that use it and I have seen and felt the difference. If you really want to maximize fuel economy get a gallon of GTA Pure Hydrocarbon and use it religiously.

Sorry, but, huh? What is this stuff, what do I do with it, and what will it do for me? Sorry for the ignorance.

GTA PH is a substance thats aids in atomization. It has the consistancy of warm KY and kinda gets everywhere, but what it does is significantly improve the combustion process by ensuring all the little droplets of fuel that your injectors are spraying out are the same size. That is a heavy over simplification, but it is essentially what it does, promotes even and complete burn. Now, everything is relative, if your injectors are severely clogged or simply shot period, then no it prolly won't do ****, BUT one bottle of Redline SI-1 will do wonders, after that one bottle you use just a little bit in every tank, same w/ the GTA.

Yes, I use it and yes, it works.

*edit, the name and packaging has changed, it is now GTA Viscon, shows how long I've been on this last gallon

jacobs stuff is crap cause the coils burn themselves out way too often
