Default Tires on wrong

My brother-in-law told me my tires were on the wrong way, like the direction is wrong. i just want to make sure he is right before i switch them.... anyone know how i can tell, besides going to a gas station.

If they are directional tires you'll have a "V" pattern in them. The "V" should point like an arrow in the forward direction.

usually there is either an arrow on the sidewall, or a thing that says rotation with an arrow built into the word. or just a triangle in the sidewall pointing the direction of rotation. I had a shop put my tires on the wrong way on once side and the right way on the other. Kinda makes you wonder.

Of course, if you don't have directional tires then there is no "wrong" direction to put them on.

While we're on the issue keep an eye out for directional rims as well. It sounds crazy and I don't know how much of a difference it would make but some rims (stock F*** probe rims, older Mitsu eclipse rims etc) are ducted to blow air onto the rotors. Its usually stamped on the inside of the rim or on the center insert.

i could have sworn they pulled hot air away from the rotor instead of pushing air against the rotor...but maybe you are right, i dunno...

Its been a while since I worked at the tire shop, you may be right. And if it blew air on them it'd be a good way to get water on those hot rotors...not good unless you like that vibrating feeling...I'll resist the urge to say something here lol.
