if you are low on coolant, that will do that, since the sensor is reading the temp. difference between the coolant liquid and air.

you will still see a boucning needle simply because you are very likely to have air still in the system.

you need to bleed the cooling system, there's a valve next to the upper rad. hose, it's like a little nipple, break it losse and you'll see coolant flowing out, if you seeing burst of air, there's air in the system, bleed it until it's flowing normal.

oh yeah,,do it with the heater on max

^^^ uh no that is on the civics it is located on the lower rad hose right after the t-stat

its kinda dark but it is next to the egr valve un screw it while the car is on and warmed up fill up the rad over flow tank and run it till you see the only water come out what I do is disconnect the fan temp gauge sensor when the fan turns on the water goes down if you take the plug off it should only take like 5 min to do so you dont mess up the motor

so after i filled the radiator, the gauge turned normal for a day or so, but now when i drive its fine.. when i am stopped and idle, thats when the car over heats... i do not hear the fan turn on... how do i check if the fan is garbage? or a relay or plug?
