STUPID QUESTION

I have a lil problem.
I just got some valve stems for my new wheels & the valves wont go in.
How much trouble should they be ??

Are all valve stems the same size ?? meaning round

All valve stems should be the same size. I think.

They go in from the inside of the wheel and there is a tool you need to pull them through which threads onto the stem and it allows you to get a good pull on the stem.
