Default steering problem!

got under the car today, again and noticed the boot on the steering rack it ripped to ****, upon further inspection i noticed that there is dirt and **** all up in there. looks to me like i gotta replace the whole rack or whatever. im not at all familliar with steering stuff. looks like its about 5 or 6 bolts to take it off. and i did do a search which nothing came up.

get a helms book. everything you need to know about your car model in there.
Go to local auto store (Autozone, PepBoys, Auto Palace, etc..) and grab one they should have them, if they don't then they ain't no auto store.

first of all there isn't any auto parts store that carries Helms manuals, they carry Chilton's or Hayne's
second of all we all like english on this board, try using a little bit better form of the language

to answer the question, you can about it in several different ways:

you can replace the boot and hope that you get all the dirt and grime out of there or you can replace the whole assembly

Your Steering unit is leaking so yeah, your gonna need a new one. Buy a Bellows kit with it. (the boots on the end of the steering rack) Your gonna need to get an alignment after your done. Good luck getting it out, but more luck putting the new one in

I prefer the manual by Haynes. Too bad it costed me $18.01 at Pep Boys.
