Difference Between Automatic and manual steering column?
A little while back my car was stolen. I got it back intact just stole the wheels off of it , radio, half red half clear taillights and some other little stuff. And way they had to bust the ignition column to steal my car. Now that I have it back I went to a local junkyard and pulled a steering column from a 94 DX Automatic hatchback. The DX Automatic had powersteering. Now after I swapped out the steering columns it feel like my new one has a whole lot more vibration and sloppy play then the other one did. And yes all the bolts are put back in and tightened down. I have rechecked them twice now to see it is backing loose or something and still nothing seems to help. So I was wondering if anyone knows if there is any differences in the two. When I say vibration I dont mean like I need a balance and rotation. I mean like the steering column feels like it is longer and flexes.

I would think they would be the same.. perhaps the tires you put on arent balanced or your rotors maybe warped.
