starting problems!!! HELP
Well it just recently been happening intermitantly. I'll wake up in the morning and the car will not crank over. So I go inside and it works again. So i let the car run for a lil while to test and see if it may be the battery not charging. But its at a good 11.9-12.4V at idle. So i'm stumped! Well i drive it for awhile and park at a Wendys to get lunch. I come out and the car doesn't wanna crank again. I'm like WTF!!! So i keep trying and try to jump start it and nothing. Wait a lil while longer and it starts again. So i take the battery to Autozone to have it replaced and the car works fine again.
FAST FOWARD 2 weeks later, it happens again. This is an Optima Red Top. Any ideas? Alternator works fine if i might add
Replaced the starter again and it worked for a day and now i'm stuck at work because it fails to start. When i crank it, my MPH goes crazy! What's going on now???

I have a 98 accord that doesn't want to always start. It's usually in the mornings. It cranks but that's it. It's getting spark and fuel. I took it to the dealership and they replaced them main relay. Two days later it wouldn't start again,so I took it back to the dealership. They kept it for 3 days and said it started up fine for them everytime. They also said they hooked it up to diagnostics and "all systems check" "unable to duplicate problem at this time". So this morning it wouldn't start again. If you figure it out,i'd love to know!
sounds like your ground wires are rusted out, or lacking adequate connectivity. Check them first.. cheap and simple.. Both of you.
Basically, the dealers can't duplicate it, because they do not leave the car running long enough for the charge to build up.
