Default Radio Activation Code?

I need to "demushroom" the battery on my CD5 and will be removing the terminals. Is it possible that the radio will require an activation code input afterward since I disconnected the battery? If so, I don't have it because the car is secondhand and I don't know the previous owner, and I don't have the owner's manual.

Also, I don't have the original radio anymore as it was replaced with a Sony CD deck. Does that not matter then?

Thanks for any input!

Since it was replaced by a Sony CD Deck. You don't need it. Unless the thing has a radio code or some other crap.

I sort of thought that was the case. Thanks!
