my engine is all messed up so i am planning on buying a new one. what is the average price for installing an engine at a shop?? i think i am going to get a vtec for about $450 but what price should i expect to spend on getting it installed. and also, if i get a vtec engine is it an easy process to install or will i need extra stuff??? any help on this process would be appreciated thanks a lot.

I think by the books, its a 7 to 8 hour job with change overs and such. it should be easy to install but you will need to wire in the vtec solenoid and use a POA computer so that the vtec actually works, you have other options, but this will be plug and play after the wiring and its made for that motor.
