Possible swap?b20a5 to f22b2
Has anyone ever researched the possibility of swapping a b20a5 (89) prelude si (standard shift) to a accord. the honda is a 95 lx (automatic) with a f22b2. My reasoning for doing such a thing is: I have the accord, the car is pretty much decked out except for the powertrain.. the auto trans is holding me up with what i would like to do with the car next. I also have a strong running prelude available pretty cheap.. I guess what im asking is: would there be any benifit from doing such a swap? Any reasons why this would be a bad idea or an impossibility. I was thinking a turbonetics system for the f22 previously which runs its own ecu and would prob do the same on the b20.(not real concerned with stock controllers).Or could the standard tranny just possibly be used??

Your transmission wouldn't line up with the f22, best ones if you wanted manual would be the h22, h23, or f22 trans to go that route. HP is about the same as the f22 but I'm not sure on the torque, if you were to swap it you 1) wouldn't be able to use anything already in there mount wise - have to be all custom, and 2) if it doesn't have enough torque you wouldn't move haha

Re: (TheMuffinMan)
the early b series motors are not compatible with F series motors at all. there are no readily availble mounts for a b series into an accord. the b20a is NOT going to be ANY sort of an upgrade power wise
