Please Help with 92 Honda Accord!!! My car won't start
Hi,
I am fairly new at this, as I have never posted on a website like this before. I have a 1992 Honda Accord. Anyways, the problem started about 2 weeks ago, when I would start up the car in the morning it was fine, but after driving it for a little while, it would start lugging. Then, after turning off the car it wouldn't start again. I would wait about 5-10 minutes and then it would start right up. But as of this morning, the car just will not start again. It turns over just fine, but will not start!! I just put a brand new battery, spark plugs and air filter in the car and had the alternator tested at Auto Zone so I know it's not that. Question is...did you ever find out what the problem was with your car?? I'm hoping it's nothing too big since I just replaced the starter on my 99 Accord....but any help would DEFINANTLY be appriciated!!!

Do you hear the fuel pump running when you turn the key on?
Can you remove a plug wire from the dist cap, then hold it close to the connector with insulated pliers while someone cranks the car....this is checking for spark.

Try checking your main relay. Located high under the dash. I have a 92 Accord EX and I had the same problem. So frustrating! I tested the ignitor coil and it ohmed bad (replaced it). All other starting components were fine. But when I started reading other forums about the main relay over and over again I decided to make the effort!! Was well worth it!! Click the URL at the bottom of my reply it'll walk you through all the steps! Also, I took a large magnifying glass and you could see the cracks at the solder joints! Just look REALLY close at each joint and all around it as it is hard to see with the naked eye! I almost missed a cracked joint. Have had zero problems since the fix! Hope it works out for you!!http://techauto.te.funpic.org/mainrelaydefine.php

Hey that is a great link for the main relay fix.
I'm not sure if you noticed that the treads that the few threads that you have copied and pasted this replay into are rather old threads. Just an FYI check the date of the last post.
