Default PCV Valve not functioning

It's not so much the pcv valve isn't functioning, but I replaced the hose that leads from the valve cover to the intake and after a while the hose imploded and melted shut. So there's no flow between the valve cover and the intake, just wondering if this will affect performance and if I should have anything to worry bout. I'd fix it anyway but finding a replacement hose is a bit harder than I expected.

fix it. Hondas with non-fuctional PCV systems tend to develop problems with blow-by.

any honda dealer should have the correct hose and it cant be too expensive even at dealer prices.

I'm having the same problem and just called Honda and they said they can't order just that little piece of hose, it only comes in bulk. What are the reprecussions of driving this way? I stumbled across this thread and thought to go look and I have the same problem. I have no idea how long it's been that way given I changed the PCV valve a few times but never noticed the hose was flat towards the TB. Anyone know for sure what I might have screwed up by not noticing it?

damn, this was like my first post ever. but yah, the honda dealerships dont keep it in stock so they make you pay for the entire roll if you try to get it through them.

pep boys has the replacement pcv hose in stock, it's about $4.00, so there's no reason to not fix it.

if your car hasn't fucked up by now i doubt anything's been damaged, just make sure to fix it asap.
