Icon5 No start no crank

2002 Honda Accord Ex..the wife's car has 209000 and we have had almost no problems tell this past year. The latest problem is no start no crank. Head light working dash light stay on with no dimming when trying to start. All I get is a click. We have not had the car die at lights or 7-11 like others. She parked it the other night now no crank/start. I have tried to start 6 or 7 times in a row nothing, eng has oil. I have not checked all fuses or turned the eng by hand yet but will tomorrow. I will also tap the starter and solenoid. Any ideas of what could the issue.

worth a try if you can pull the starter:

Rebuild your starter for less than $20 - Team Integra Forums - Team Integra

average starter life is 220k so u r in the ballpark.

You need to pull the small wire off the connector at the starter and test for voltage while turning the key to start with the car in neutral. Make sure that wire doesn't touch anything metal at the same time.

You should get battery voltage. If you don't, then it's likely the starter isn't the problem. If you do then it's likely the starter is the issue.

You can replace the starter contacts if your car is a manual.

I would still suspect the battery/and or connections. Ensure you have a good 12.5ish VDC. If you do, then remove both cables...and really clean them well, both the inside of cable and outside of terminal. Add lil dielectric grease. Try it.
