Camber kits are never necessary. If you do decide to get one, id get the complete upper arm by SPC. Other wise id stay away from them for the most part. The biggest the wheels / lower profile tires, while show more wear quicker.

my car is alligned, but wouldnt the negative camber get worse over time?. it seems like only the back tires are "tiltted". i got an estimate from a shop.. $315. for rear kit and instalatoin and alligment. is that overpriced?

Re: (aZnPIGbOi)
Actually I think that's a decent price. A 4 Wheel alignment cost 70 dollars. Than the rear camber kit cost like 100. So your paying another 140 dollars in labor. So Im taking its like about 40 dollars an hour in labor and probably takes about 3.5 hours to install. I don't know never worked with camber kits before but I heard before they are sort of a PITA to put on.

Re: (361 accord)
how hard is it to install a camber kit ? i've done plenty of upgrading shocks/springs because i've been helping my friend constantly change the suspension on his wrx. would a camber kit be hard to do if i'm okay at removing struts ?
i dont actually know where they go. so thats why i'm asking

The solution:
Put the stock springs back on your car and it will handle better and look better. Everyone should be familiar with the term "roll center" before thinking of lowering their car.

Re: (flboarder)
Roll center is the axis about which the car rolls while cornering. The roll center is below the cg. The distance between the roll center and cg is the roll couple. The smaller the roll couple the less the car rolls. When one lowers a car by only changing springs the new suspension geometry causes the roll center to lower further than the cg increasing roll couple and body roll, negating any performance benefit from a lower cg.

thats fancy talk for 'I own a chevy nova and have no clue about import performance cars'. Ive been lowered on about 5+ different setups for a Accord 96 and at least 3 of them road 200x better than OEM springs and handled 500x better. The other two setups used blown oem shocks and APC coilovers, so its no wonder the ride was horrible.
Im lowered about 2.5" now on Tanabe SS coilovers and the ride quality is excelent, and VERY comfortable. The performance is unbeatable.

Deffinetly, Psycho Pilot is a retard..
On my accord, the thing handled bad on stock suspension, like real bad, like the whole car wold go up on its sides on a big turn, and i would be pushed into my door
After i dropped it, and put in some sway bars and strut tower braces, i could take a jug handle doing 60 with one hand

Re: (standbackimapro)
i had the same problem, but with the Tokico setup. i had my car aligned and the rear tires would wearout while the fronts would not. i installed a rear camber kit and it fixed the problem. i still have the front camber kit, i never needed to install it. Im running on 17x7 wheels, 215/45/17 sumitomo's and i have not had a problem with the front or the rear since.

Re: (TOP END MS)
If roll center is only applicable to american cars I wonder why it was the main subject in "Making it Stick," a 12 page article in the August 2005 issue of Sport Compact Car. standbackimapro, if you hadn't also put on sway bars you might have noticed that you're car rolled more, probably because your shocks have gone to sh*t.
