Mysterious wobble in crank pulley (new pulley still wobbles)
2000 honda accord se 2.3l automatic (f23a1). After two crank pulleys, doing the timing belt twice, replacing the accessory belts, and checking specs on everything.... still an intermittent wobble in the crank pulley. Sometimes it's bad, sometimes not as much, sometimes not at all. This is driving me nuts. The bolt is on very tight, no other pulleys are wobbling or shaking, and sometimes it doesn't wobble at all. I have read hundreds of forums on the subject, and they all say the same thing ... replace the pulley/balancer. Well I did, and no difference.
Both pulleys look fine, no cracks, good rubber...
Keyway is fine, so is the key...
What could cause this???? I'm fairly certain the crankshaft is fine. The pulley is not loose. No grinding noises, just a little whine when the pulley wobbles. Any insight would be appreciated!
