Default Looking for performance headers!

Recently bought a 98 accord v6 sedan. Totally love it. I want to upgrade it in terms of power. I installed an injen sri. And i know want to get a set of sports headers. I have been doing lots of research and i found some obx headers and some dcsports headers. What would be best? Are there other better headers out there that would go for under 500 dollars? I am also gonna get a magnaflow full cat back. Any comments on that? Please help me out. Thanks in advance : )

that separated header is a 2-piece, it was made that way for easier installation, my megan headers are also 2-piece, it came with all the bolts and gaskets needed. but i have heard negative things about megan gaskets.

WELL I DID ALOT OF RESEARCH ALREADY AND SO FAR ALL I HAVE HEARD ABOUT MEGAN HEADERS AND NOT GOOD. NOR HAVE i HEARD TOO MANY GOOD THINGS ABOUT THE DC. I AM JUST GONNA SAVE UP AND BY THE COMPTECH HEADERS. EXPENSIVE BUT ALL THE REVIEWS ARE ALL POSITIVE. THEY COST A GRAND BUT WTH. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR RIGHT? THE BEST. I AM PLANNING ON COMBINING IT WITH A HIGH FLOW CAT. AND A MAGNAFLOW FULL CAT BACK. ANY OPINIONS ON THAT??

you get what you pay for ... megan headers have crappy gaskets ... dc's are overpriced unless you go cheap and get ceramic which are susceptible to cracking ... sometimes its better to pay a little more than to pay less and be left unsatisfied and frustrated

I have these, I am very fortunate to have them. They are the Prototype Equal Length Headers From my understanding there were only a couple of them made and I am one of the ones who was able to get my hands on a set. They had a leak in the collectors at first but I sent them to be fixed and its all good. I have had them back for about a month now. And lets just say I am more than pleased with the performance of the motor. It as if the car has a shot of nitrous on vtec, and it pulls stronger from start now also. And I am getting about 10-15 miles more per tank.
These headers were susposed to go into production a couple of years ago but there was a mix up with hte manufacturer and the plans fell through. I have a 2001 Accord V6 4dr.

Wow i have actually seen those before. But i could not find a place to buy them. I saw them being compared to the comptech headers on a dyno chart. How much did you get them for?

I've ran Megans for 2 years and no problems. Just use OEM gaskets instead if you want to.

V6Folife - those headers are priceless. I don't think they will ever go into production.

Thanks Wheelman,
And your right I don’t think they will go into production either. The only reason I was able to get a set is because I have been in constant contact with Edmun Laurea. He is the owner of Opak Racing and when he was ready to selll the last set he had I jumped on it. He is a nice guy, him and Joe McCarthy the owner of Prototype Racing were to go into buissness together to get the header into production about 3 or 4 years ago. They found someone to produce them in China for a good price but he jumped ship and ran with plans ,jigs, money etc. All they had left was a couple of prototypes that Edmun sold has now sold. And I paid about 350$ for them and 220$ to get the leaks in the collectors fixed. It was worth it, the car has never run better. Its a shame that these will probably never see production because they really are works of art and they perform as well as they look!
