not to be an ***, but honestly give yourself a solid weekend to do it

how much do you know about removing an engine from a Honda? if this is the first time you will ever be going this far in depth you will need some time

4 days. there will be easy things to do that will turn into the biggest problems in the world. relatively, it is a staright and simple drop. motor drops right in without any real problems. then comes wiring and all the fun stuff. the header wont line up with your exhaust and cat, so you may have to get that welded. otherwise, the small problems WILL arise because the car gods say so.

an experienced mechanic will take about one solid day of work to do...but that's experienced...if it's your first swap it'll probably take you around 4-5 days...and be prepared to learn a lot...engine swaps are by far (imo) the most valuable way of learning about engines!

I was figuring a good weekend to do it...it isn't just going to be me. I've never done motor swaps before, however the other 2 guys helping me with the project have both been working on cars for at least 10+ years. They told me it would take a good 2 days to get everything done fully. I just need to let my boss know how much time i'm gonna need off so i can get it done.

Anyone know how much it will cost and how long it will take for a reputable shop to do an auto to manual conversion? This is just for labor, assuming I already have all necessary parts. I already did a search on this.

I have been quoted from $600 to $4000. I'd say $1000 is normal. It should take 2-4 days.
