Default j32a2 engine swap

everyone who knows anything about this please reply....i own a 2000 accord sedan 3.0 v-tec v6 (j30a1). My goal is to make it as fast as possible as a normally aspirated motor. Thinkin on this more and more i have come up with an idea....to take a 3.2 v-tec v6 (j32a2) out of a cl type-s and drop it in my car....i am almost positive it will create every bit of 50 to 60 more ponies....what i am tryin to figure out is the exact lay out of the motor....if it would be possible to pull the head off the j32a2 and mate it directly to the j30a1 block...or if i have to do a complete engine swap....i believe that the j32a2 is just a different bore so please anyone that knows somethin let me know

Thanks

Sounds like a big project, for big power. Call around, get some prices on the setup and report back.

changing the heads doesn't increase displacement. you can change the engines with each other, but changing the heads only wont do anything.

i know this is quite vague information, but i was thumbing through one of my issues of Honda Tuning and remember them saying something about mating the 3.5L engine to a pair of type-s heads.

so then my other question would be will the j32A2 block, tranny, and the whole setup fit in my engine bay? and would i have to change trannies or would the five speed auto mated to the j30a1 work just fine

-RednackDave- has that swap in his 6th Gen Coupe.

A quote from that thread....

Maybe you could PM him and ask him about it.

It's funny noticing this thead because I've gone as far as pricing the cost of putting a 3.5 RL motor in my Accord.

Obviously, all these motors are virtual plugins if it's something you reallly want to do. There's no dimensional difference, no weight difference, and the stock computers will be all that you need for the HP you're after.

IMHO, of course.

I was hoping he'd notice and start talking about it, but he hasn't been here in a couple of days.

You can use the IM button under his name to contact him, as soon as your trial period is over. On second thought, I'll go set you to unrestricted right now.

The swap is insanely expensive and time consuming.

You can do 3.5L block but theres certain ones you can only use. Im not too sure off hand but I know that much for sure. The 3.5 swap has been done(6th gen) and I believe theres a 7th gen now with a 3.5L block with j30 heads and turbo.

Is that the one that doesnt work? I thought it was the newer MDX blocks that didnt work?
