00 EX ULEV with 188,000. All Original parts but one transmission replacement.
Ive never done the timing belt cause i didnt want to put money into the car knowing the transmission problems and possibly other problems but judging by all the high milage on here im second guessing it. What do you guys think i should do???

Check your shift solenoids. If they're getting old and worn, your transmission might not be getting the proper message to shift. They're easy to test with a set of alligator clips, you dont even need to remove the solenoids. Just connect the solenoid to the positive battery terminal using your alligator clips. You should get a nice, sharp clicking from them. If its soft or nonexistent, a new solenoid is probably all it needs.

1997 Accord EX with 132,000 miles. Was my mother's car since new. She bought a 2015 Subaru Legacy so I decided to buy the Accord to use for my commute car.
'93 Accord LX has 324,XXX.

I have 298650 km on my '93 Accord Coupe (it is about 184000 miles)
Engine is smooth, the chassie was rusty at the rear wheels but it has been mended, it will get a whole paint job, Bordeaux Red as it was painted originally. The interiour is fully cleaned, every carpet is in pretty good condition.

My friends dad has a 92 accord with 320k+ miles. Alignment is all screwed. The H sign on the steering wheel is sideways. Haha. I drive a 95 accord with 188k miles with a sri.it runs great.

My 04 accord has 333,4xx today. my axle is shot so I'm gonna change it. but should I keep putting money into it or just get a new car? it runs like a champ but it's been an investment.

My 94 5spd LX Accord just rolled 103,000 miles. Since i bought my first car, i like to upgrade my car often as i get a little more cash. I was wondering how much reasonbly longer i can hold on to this car, since there is nothing major wrong with it. My reasoning is that the more maintenace work i do on it, the harder it is to sell it and for example get a upgraded model accord. I have changed the CV joints, which usually go about 100k miles. I now have lifetime Alignment on my car and lifetime balance on my tires. The clutch still feels fine. If i have to change the timing belt, might as well i keep the car. Am I in a detrimental treat already to change the timing belt since it just gone over 100k miles?
How many miles are you guys getting out of your accord and it still be totally problem free?
I am OK with doing maintenance work on it, but just want it to still be reliable.

I have a 1991 Accord LX coupe with 168K and I just picked up a 1991 Accord EX wagon with 122K miles on it. Both are only juveniles with respect to mileage for the model year.

92 accord le 352.0000 ...just got stolen got her back ..orginal motor& tranny...runs strong doesn't smoke, run 100% synthec oil in her -that's my baby

I was gifted my 98 Accord LX(vtec) a year ago with 218 and im at 258. I put over 3000 into a car that wasnt properly taken care of and brought it back to life. Whats my chances of making the million mile club? I do a lot of driving and check my fluids every friday before i drive my car. It was gifted. So i want to keep it for a long time

01 Accord LX sedan now showing a shade over 209k mi. I hope never to get rid of this car. It was the last generation of Accord that had enough room in or under the dash to mount all my ham radio gear. :D

I have 2009 LXP, i4 Accord. I purchased it in Sep, 2008. Until now I have 160k on it and I've been taking care of it well. I replace Honda oil and Honda oil filter every 5,000 miles and the Honda trans fluid is every 15,000. I've been maintained it by myself and this vehicle has barely been in a Honda shop (one repair at a dealer shop in 9 years). I am very happy with it because until now it runs like a champ. The trans and the engine so far are still intact and they run very smooth.
Every four months I replace the engine and the pollen air filters. Every year I replaced brake fluid and steering fluid. For the rear and the front brake pads, I replace every three years. At 100k miles I replaced spark plugs and the coolant. I also replaced the serpentine belt and the belt tensioner. Therefore, I removed the intake and cleaned the intake body and the throttle. I recently replaced the thermostat and the trans filter.
The total cost for the parts to maintain the vehicle is about 800.00 Dollars, plus another 800.00 for the recent strut replacement on the rear because there was a leaky fluid on one of them and the dealership had to replace them as a pair. So, for me, it has been very good because I've been saving some money for this vehicle.
I am planing to keep this vehicle for a while until the trans or the engine will be stopped working.

I meant to say 2002 Accord 349K, runs very well, lots of power, no ticking, no knocking. Original engine and trans. Just regular maintenance.
