ok, i have a 2000 accord ex, and i am purchasing a header, i want an honest opinion would it matter if i got the Megan headers, or if i got just an offbrand from ebay, someone please tell me

to be honest with you, megan IS already a knock off/copy/fake/off brand/discounted brand

does megan looks and sounds kinda a MUGEN to you..yeah, you get the idea.

megan's stuff is pretty good, the welds and stuff is okay. they are cheaper than comptech(since you said headers, which get me thinking you are talking about v6 ex)

 

People look down upon eBay, and Megan Racing headers.

From what I've seen / heard, the welds are very nice. The only downfall is the shape of the ports, but a dremel can fix that.

The price tag is a big plus. They are about half the price of a DC SS header.

 

what is wrong with with the shape of the port, i just ordered a megan header, what kind of gains as far as mileage and hp gains will i see? i am planning on going with a cat back exhaust, i just havent decided on what kind yet, i dont want very loud, but i want some milage and hp gain from it

The ports just need to be cleaned up a tad.

Your gas mileage will increase slightly, and you will gain around 2 - 3whp. Better gains will be seen with an upgraded exhaust.
