gear ratios has nothing to do with throttle response. it'll just feel like its more responsive due to the shorter gears and quicker acceleration.

no, the gear ratios are different. The h tranny should have shorter gears than the f tranny. Meaning, in the f tranny when you were doing 70mph the rpm guage read 2k rpm, now with the h tranny when your doing 70mph the rpm guage will read 3k rpm. Now those aren't the actual numbers you'll see, I don't know exactly, I'm just giving you an example of what it means to have a shorter geared tranny in your car.

you would be more in your powerband but you would get worse gas milage.

it's really up to you and what your looking for. I have a D16Y8 motor and tranny in my 92 hatch and it has shorter gears and I like it over the gearing my Accord had. I don't know what a H tranny feels like because I've never driven one but I plan to chage that soon

to break it down simple. shorter gears = quicker acceleration but lower top speed and decreased gas mileage because you'll be at higher RPMs then you useto be at to be at the same speed.

Thats a question only you can answer for yourself. Is it worth it to YOU?

It may be worth it to some people but not others and for various reasons.

I don't know much about boost, you should probably start doing a lot of research in this forum as well as the FI forum. There is a lot of info on boosting Accords on this site.

a lot of people prefer the f tranny if they go turbo... longer gears is more time in boost.
