D16A6 Compression Question.
The manual does not state a standard value, but 130psi is the minimum. The biggest thing to worry about is if the compression numbers are very similar to each other -/+ 28psi (IMO that is too great, if you have more than 20psi variance, you have a slight leak somewhere.)
Uh oh.. Well i tested all 4 cylinders and all 4 came up equal at 75. I'm confused because i was just told that normal is 185, and minimum is 130. If thats the case, my car is done. LMK.
Compression will vary depending on age of the engine, and how well it was maintained. 75 is very low, I'm suprised the thing fires up. I would have said around 150-160 since it is so old, that seems to be a common number I've seen with engines that old.
Make sure you are at WOT when you do this test, your results will vary greatly if you don't.
