Eibach sportlines?????
I have a friend that has a 03 cpe like mine and wanted to put sport-lines on. I have the pro kit on mine but he wants to know if a chamber kit is needed on his car? I didn't need a chamber kit with my pro kit. Specs front-1.9 rear 1.4 (sport-line specs) What do you guys think????

I have Tein S Techs on my 04 sedan, which is the same drop as the Eibach Sportline springs, and I got a camber kit just because my camber was already out of whack from an accident from 2 years ago, but I'm sure that it helped. It seemed to me like I was understeering a little bit before I got the alignment done, and it felt like I was a bit more planted to the road after the camber kit, but it wasn't a very noticeable change, only to me, and it was very subtle, so I can't really tell you.
BTW it was a Progress Alignment Kit.

I hear ya, I didn't really know. I always thought big drops like 2+, is where camber kits would come in to play. My pro kit is only 1.3 drop, but I didn't need a kit. I'm sure it won't hurt to get one, but he didn't want to spend the extra money if he didn't have to. How do the tein's ride and how much for a set?

I got them for $144 + $15 shipping off ebay, which I hardly ever do. I think the drop is roughly the same. IMHO, the suspension is too bouncy, too loose, for even how close I am to the ground, on 17" wheels. The only other modded 7th gen accords I know of in Orlando are coupes that use coilovers and praise them immensely. I've ridden in them, the control, ride (a bit bumpy) but it is a much better feel then mine. Depending on what wheels he is running can tell the difference, but if I had a second choice, I'd experiment with the Eibach's or coilovers as far as ride goes. If he really isn't concerned about ride, then the Tein should work just fine.

I tried to get him to go with the pro kit, but he wants to sit a little lower then my car. I have 20's, and he's thinking on going 19, because of a deal he can get from some guy, but anyway, he wanted to drop lower because of the smaller 19. I told him his profile would be a bit taller then mine and it should add up to the same diameter as his factory wheels, which means he can get the same drop as me, but you can't tell certain people anything!!!!!

2*Tread Width*Aspect Ratio/2540 + Tire Width = 25.49 (stock on my car 205/65/15) He could probably run a 40 aspect easily and drop it with a set of eibach sportline's and have no problem with clearance or what not. What is stock on his car, I don't have the stock coupe tire size in my manual?

Both our cars came with 16's on a 205/60/16. In my case,(in 20 of-course) the closest size to my factory diameter was 245/30/20 with a difference of .01% but I did not want to chance putting a 20x8.5 on my car and 20x8 is almost impossible to find, so I went with a 20x7.5 and put a 225/35/20 on which adds up to +0.03, But in his case, he'll probably go with 19's with a 235/35/19. That's almost the same as the factory overall diameter. I was going to get the sportlines on mine but I did not want to have to get in to chamber kits and stuff so I went with the pro kit, besides I did not want to change my shocks either. If I could've gotten away with it, I would've.....

Re: Eibach sportlines????? (msedacca)
How much for a good chamber kit anyways??? I can't lie, I was thinking of a bit more drop at one point myself. But going from a 16x7 on a 205/60 to a 20x7.5 on a 225/35, I did know if it would rub or come close to rubbing, having a wider tire and rim and all. I didn't want to do any fender rolling be cause of the width of my tire/rim!!!! But I'm only talking about a 1.9 drop though!!!!!!I would'nt want to go any lower then that...

Its camber btw. It costs $336 for the only camber kit made for our cars (that I have found at least). Its the Progress Alignment kit.

That's why I'm sticking with the pro kit. I won't have to worry about all that. To bad for my buddy though. He's not gonna want to hear that. Oh well!!!!
