Ecu code 67 Catalyst system efficiency below threshold, what does it mean???
I just got this code a few days ago, 98 accord LX 5spd vtec. How do i fix this problem?? i passed smog with flying colors about a week ago, way below the higher standard CA emissions requirements, so i assume my cat is working fine.
could also be seconday O2 sensor. You will need a Diag machine and a Infrared temp meter to determine for sure.
I hope that it is your secondary o2 sensor since it is a LOT CHEAPER than a new cat.
if you recently replaced either your cat or o2 sensor with non Honda ones, that maye cause this issue as well.

well i just bought the car so im not sure if the 02 sensors or the cat have been replaced. But if it was the o2 sensor wouldnt thier be other symptoms like really bad mpg hesitation and stuttering??? And why would i pass smog no problem?? Thanks for the help

The ecu can detect the efficiency of the cat decreasing before it stops working all together. When it drops to a certain level it throws the code. (and cel)
