Icon2 CYLINDER NOT FIRING.

97, V-6, Accord with 83K miles. Previous owners let the timing belt break due to locked water pump. So the engine has been hot, and then, when the belt broke, it was assumed it bent some valves. The owners had the belt and water pump replaced but didn't do a head rebuild. I took it to a different, reliable shop and they removed the head. They said the valve drive train moves freely and properly. I inspected the #6, front right, cylinder and it was smooth, no impinged piston. They suspected the rings were frozen because, they said, no compression on that cylinder. And that was the problem. Does this sound right? Wouldn't there be some compression? So they put it back together, and other than the missing firing, the car will start right up. It sat for 4 months and started within 3 revolutions. Immediately. Could this be a snow job and the problem is just a broken plug, wire or distributor? Perhaps something else?

Well the motor obviously was miscared for by the previous owner. No compression whatsoever? Could be a valve, bad compression rings, cylinder out of round due to heat etc. Check the resistance through the spark plug wires, plugs etc. Any codes?
