Default code 92

96 accord LX 2.2 178k

could a "code 92" be caused by a bad fuel vapor canister? If so is there an easy way to test the canister?

maybe you have a code 9 and also a code 2?
Did you get the codes by the OBD2 connector behind the ashtray?
Was a scan tool used?

i use the "short out the connector thing under the glove box & read the flashes" bit & it blinked out 9 long flashes followed by 2 short ones less than a second after the last long flash then repeated the sequence...

only thing I've done to test is hook up a vacuum gauge to that hose that comes out of the bottom of the canister & rev the engine to 3500rpm & held it for ~1 minute with the gas cap off.

results were a slight blip in vacuum to maybe 3" then it dropped back down to zero & stayed there while the engine was turning at 3500rpm
