Is it code 01 or code 10?
Check engine on. Disconnected the battery. It did come back a day later.
I took the code from the socket under the dash.
One long repetitive blink. No short one apparently. Would this be 1 (oxygen sensor) or 10 (Intake air temperature)?

1999 EX-L 4 cyl. 75000 miles. I wonder if there is an easy way to check these sensors (IAT or OS). Dealer wants 57$ just to put their machine wired to my ECU.
The biggest thing dealers use to their advantage is people's stupidity, I guarantee anyone that wants to find out something about their car can find it on the internet or in a repair manual, granted sometimes its easier for a mechanic to fix it or they have the necessary room and tools. Give me a garage and some key tools I would have already have an h22 but anyway.......(had to vent) but I have no clue on a 99....lemme look it up
technicians have to buy thier own tools they are not "given" to them.
but anyway iat sensors are quite common to go bad on these cars! i replaced one on a 99 accord on monday at my dealership as a matter of fact. so give it a shot. but 57 dollars is alot just to scan it ...
