Clutch poped then real light
I was coming off the off ramp from the highway and when I went to down shift to end the secondary road, the clutch pop real loud at the bottom of it's stroke. Now the pressure required to depress the clutch petal is real light. Also shifting into gears is harder??

Can you even get into gear ? If not then obviously the clutch busted. Just to be sure, check the clutch fluid reservoir. It should still be full. If not, check for leaks first.

Found out what it was the clutch master cylinder broke away from the firewall. One of the ears that hold it to the firewall broke off, the otherwas loose! Anyone else had this happen never seen this before on any vehicle??

Well sure was a mess to fix and expensive $500 to clean up the damage and replace. I hate this car so much right now.

Never heard of that happening ever before. Why did it cost so much ? Did you have someone else replace it ? That part needs to be a quality part as most autoparts stores will spring a leak at the push rod within a week of replacement as I have found out before(two autozone replacements and one oreilly auto).
If you go OEM it will run you about $100, but I finally got an Exedy and it has held up for a month now and that was $30 from rockauto.
