clear headlights - legal or illegal?
hi, i want to get some clear headlights, ive been looking everywhere for local laws but cant find anything. I was to take off those hideous amber reflectives in my headlights. I was reading that the headlight can only be white or yellow.. shouldnt i be all set? The turn signal light is yellow, isnt that enough without the amber reflective? BTW im from MA

In most cases it is legal, just as long as your signal remains amber/yellow whatever. But to make sure just check your local laws . Same goes for the rear, you can have clear reflectors just as long as your brake lights and turn signals are red (yellow or red for your turn signals).

wether or not its illegal is immaterial.....cause your headlights are already clear, or else no light would emit from them .....if ur talking about corner/bumper lights, dont waste the $35 on that.....unless ur gonna do the DIY fog lights

I'm in MA and I don't have a problem with having blackhousings. I've got amber bulbs in the corner and underneath my low beams on my 6th gen, and I don't see running into a problem as I've still got the amber in the front I just don't have the amber reflector anymore.

would you please refer to this by its proper name.....ur talking about the side marker......NOT the headlight....and if ur car is a 6th gen.....then thats just gay to try to remove the yellow strip @ the bottom of the housing..............as long as you have the correct color light emiting from it (whether its from the reflector/colored bulb, then its legal)

you guys this guy has a sixth gen! He doesn't have side markers. The amber reflector is in the same housing as the headlights are in. My guess is that in order to get rid of the amber reflector inside your headlights is to DIY (do it yourself) by heating them up in the oven and taking apart the housing. I'm not sure if you will be able to find a DIY post on this topic, but try using the search link on the top right corner of the screen. I think that the amber looks good though, and I think that you should leave it, but to all his own
