So while I am driving my CEL comes on, and then when I turn the car off it goes away. I went to autozone a couple times to see if they could read it but when they hook up their obdII reader it shows like its not even connected to the car, any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW I am running an H22A4 with P28 with Skunk 2 chip. Oh yeah and it feels like its misfiring also.

If you've got a chipped P28, the OBD2 connector is not connected. Swap back in the original ECU (or 96 P13) and see if you still get the CEL. Then you should be able to read it.

 

aside from the problem which ecu would be better to run the p13 or p28?

 

also should it matter even if i have a converversion harness?
