I have an 02 lx accord. On a full stop my engine feels like it's going to give up. problem has been going on for like a week and the next day cel came on.

 

Have the code read at a local auto shop/parts store (Autozone, Pepboys what ever they are down there). I guess there are a few places that do it for free. If it's free why not!

A real diagnostics is better than some online forum guess.

The cable to my throttle is loose. you know the one where you can rev the engine by hand. That might also be the problem??? How can i adjust this ?

 

Or you could listen to everyone and get the CEL light checked out????

 

Throttle cable is supposed to have some slack in it. If it's too tight it may not allow the butterfly plate to fully close. This would cause a high idle or it could cause a surging idle like a vacuum leak.
