My wife has an 02 accord and when we go to start it the check engine light blinks 10 times then stops. Is this just the maintenance indicator or is that an actual code? If it is the indicator does anyone know how to reset it?

 

If it's the maintenance light, it'll say 'maint.req.' or something like that. Look at the owners manual to see the difference between those 2 warning lamps.

With the key OFF, press & hold the trip-odometer-reset button. Continue holding it while you turn the key ON (you don't have to actually start the engine). Continue(!) holding it for 15 or 20 seconds more. The light will flash & then eventually it'll go out.
