i was told that the EK (96-00) civic's steering column is the same as the CD (94-97) accord's. with that said, i took another look at gianinline's steering wheel swap.

and the ek9 (civic type r) wheel :

they look the same, maybe are the same. i was just wondering if anyone had supporting details or could confirm it for me since 94-95 accords can't grab the s2k wheel.

first of all I just want to say, I have no answer to your question but this is my thoughts...

you are asking this because I assume the 96-00 Civic can accept the S2000 wheel but the 94-95 Accord can not?

That alone tells me something is different somewhere so they can't be the SAME.

But can they be swapped? That I don't know.

I doubt you'll be able to tell by looking at pictures. Best bet is to go to a junkyard and compare the two side by side or at least find one of each somewhere and take dimensions then compare what you've found. Example: length, spline diameters, mounting locations, ect.

no no no... they 96-97 accord can hold the s2k wheel. but when i look at the ctr and the atr wheel they gian picked up they looked the same. i bring about the question because i was told that the ek9 steering wheeling with srs fits the CD chassis steering column. and in this post i posted both the atr and the ctr wheel.

Also why all the talk about the steering column? Made it sound like you wanted to swap the steering columns or something. Wouldn't it have just been easier to ask...

That is what you are asking right?

The Accord TypeR and Civic TypeR steering wheels may look similar from that view but more importantly is the back where it mounts. You would need to compare that. You could go into a sale thread of someone that has the wheel you want and ask them to measure a few things and then take your wheel off and compare the dimensions. Just a though.
