currently need new rotors and brakes so i came across the mini big brake upgrade from my v6 11.1 to 11.8s.
so far i have this on my cart , RAYBESTOS 96795FZN rotors from a 2003 coupe accord idk about the brakes pads
if i should go with my year accord or the 7th gen and also need to confirm if i need to upgrade my caliper
to the 7th gen or just the brackets and place them on my gen calipers? thank you in advance and if there is another set up i can use let me too.

The stock braking system on the 6th gen is pretty good, I wouldn't bother with an "upgrade"

Mine is a 5th gen. I put 300mm rotors and NSX calipers on it and it made a real difference.

I guess there is no answer to this and the nsx calipers are expensive, so i guess i'll just put the stock ones on and forget about upgrading them. disappointed but oh well

If you are upgrading rotors, you definitely need the calipers and brackets to match the larger rotors. I can't say I've researched using the 7th Gen V6 rotors on the the 6th Gen. The one thing you would need to ensure is that the mount points on the knuckles for the calipers is the exact same. If they are, then you should have no problem bolting up the larger calipers and rotors.

i agreed with eksine and after looking around google for upgrades i found that i can keep my current rotors and just upgrade the calipers to the 2 pistol ones from the 95 acura legend
which it seems are just plug and play so i am going to end up doing that once the heat goes down.

I don't think you will see any difference by doing this. The larger rotors are where the gain is. And the Legend rotors mount differently so that the bleeder screw is down, not up. The Legend rotors mount to the rear of the rotor, the Accord mounts to the front of the rotor.

i already ordered the av6 rotors but will be doing more research on the bbk for later projects just got to figure out the right bracket or caliper for the 11.8 rotor upgrade
when the time comes ill be able to do it. thanks

The width of the rotor also makes a difference. Some are 23mm, some are 25mm and some are 28mm. The caliper and bracket you choose depends on the diameter AND width of the rotor.
