Autotensioner fix???
I was looking through a web site about H22's and installs and etc... Well I came across this section about the Autotensioner Fix? What exactly is the Autotensioner? Is it something on one of the belts? Also has anyone had any problems with this because the site said that most people dont do the fix to it and end up screwing their motors up. Any info would be appreciated.

Re: Autotensioner fix??? (EuRoBrO)
You're refering to the h22 timing belt tensioner, which is a auto tensioner. Many agree that the part is junk and always breaks; I remember a guy from a different board who broke 3 within a few weeks. The "fix" is to convert to the h23 manual -style tensioner.
I have had no problems with my h22 tensioner, but I am due for a timing belt change and plan to convert while I'm in there.
Try a search, I know that there is a specific thread on how to convert to the manual tensioner from auto.
