Accord fuel tank...Calling P_Adams
Ok so i'm putting in my Walbro 255lph fuel pump and i have the tank being lowered on my jack. One thing I noticed: when you disconnect one wire from the access panel in the trunk, there is another wire that runs from inside the car, through the same access panel, and then to driver side of the fuel tank. The one that goes to the driver side is covered by a large rubber cover (grommet) all the way around. Should I cut off the rubber covering? Second, and I feel ridiculously dumb asking this, but I don't see a banjo hardline fitting that goes on top of the fuel tank like my manual shows...maybe P_Adams can shed some light on this issue...

There are three components which attach to the top of the tank. If I remember correctly:
Center mounted = Vent Assembly (sits at the highest point). Low pressure hoses attach here.
Right Mounted = Fuel level Sensor. Wiring attaches here.
Left Mounted = Fuel Pump & Pickup Assembly. Wiring & High pressure hoses attach here.
All held on by 6mm Flange Nuts
... if my memory serves me correctly

So then the banjo fitting should be on the left of the three mounts. I'm going to try and take a picture of what I am seeing...Should I cut the rubber covering for the wiring that goes from the left mount to the access panel so that i can disconnect it and bring the tank out from underneath my car? or should I be able to lift the rubber piece off somehow?

I got the wire issue resolved, i just had to push the grommet at the access panel through. Here is what i see mount wise from driver side to passenger side.
as you can see no banjo fitting...

Re: Accord fuel tank...Calling P_Adams
Well I'm guessing the lack of the banjo fitting is just one of those weird things, b/c i was on ebay and i think i saw another fuel pump assembly for an accord without one. Right now, the only issue I'm having is that i started unscrewing a nut on the assembly bracket that I thought was the one I had to do, but apparently not, and ended up rounding it off. I'm back to school so I will have to deal with it next Saturday.
