Accord emergency..........won't start.....Dizzzy?
damn i can't get my accord to start. This is the first time. It's an auto 93ex.
I have the MSD 6al unit with blaster 2 coil and distributor cap. I heard some where that MSD caps mess up your dizzt after a while(had MSD it for 1.5 years)
-The motor cranks but won't turn over.
-I just changed plugs and still have magnacore wires.
-battery is good
-all fuilds checked and ok....
WHAT COULD IT BE??????????

I'll let you know what Honda says.

Check the output of the coil first.I just had my blaster 2 go bad on me and the car wouldn't start. If you have fuel and spark the go for the main relay.

Check the terminals inside your distributor cap and the contact on the rotor!! This week my 6th gen wouldn't start for a while, then it kicked right over an hour later. I thought it was my Nology ignition coil amplifier, but it turned out that the terminals on the disti cap were all corroded looking and the contact on the rotor was black not gold... I hit all the contacts off with sandpaper and it fixed the problem, but I just got a new cap & rotor...

I don't have the blaster coil, I have the Nology power core coil booster... anyway I've had that on the car for about 7 months, but I think my distributor cap is stock (~48k miles). Check the four terminals inside the distributor cap. They should look clean and the surfaces should be smooth. If they look bumpy or corroded, there's your problem. Sand them down for a temporary fix. Also check the contact on the rotor (on the end, like a strip of metal), it should be gold or silver. If it is black, that's a problem... again sandpaper will help at least temporarily...

I actually didn't have mine for very long.Maybe 6000 miles or so (probably defective from the factory)
I took the plug off of the distributor (coming from the coil) and held the metal part of the connector close to ground and had my girlfriend crank it over..no spark.I replaced the coil and it worked fine.
Just don't get too close to the metal part or you will get a nice ZAP. I used a pair of insulated needle nose pliers to hols the wire too.

I have the same problem, intermittent fuel, is it just the relay that's under the steering column area, above the fuse box? Or something else, somewhere else? '90 LX

My 90 LX has the same problem, refusing to start when hot in the summer afte you leave it sit for a little while. When it cools down and I heat up, it starts fine. I would like to replace the main relay, and assume it is item 28 from the link above on a KA5MT engine. Please confirm or deny, so I can replace it and live on blissfully................. Phil
