98 Accord EX starter problem?
I have a 98 4 cyl Accord ex. Maybe once a week it will not start. It will make a single click and that's it, no cranking. Eventually it will crank and start right up. The battery was just replaced and the cables and grounds have been cleaned and checked. Do you think the starter is the problem and needs a rebuild? Would you do the toyota parts rebuild, anyone know the part numbers? Or order from some alternater/starter place like http://startercontacts.com/

Hey Ross the starter contacts are around $12, and you only have to pop off the back of the solenoid cover.
My favorite starter contactor test is to do it 'CAVEMAN' style; have some one hold the key in the crank position and then SMACK the CRAP out of the side of the solenoid. If it starts cranking you can bet your yamada bird the contacts are shot.
link to PIC below is a Yota ND starter

I've had the SAME problem, let me know if replacing just the contacts works, I just paid 220 or something before core for a starter and wouldn't mind having that money back.
