97 accord automatic NO REVERSE GEAR?
i have a 97 accord se that has no reverse does not move at all. the car drives fine in the rest of the gears.
when you put the car in reverse {kinda hard to explain} but it makes a whining zipper kinda noise.also if you give it gas the noise just gets louder.

Possibly a problem with the reverse circuit or idler gear mechanism.
Could check the shift solenoids, verify each one clicks and that the screens are not clogged, but this sounds more like an internal problem.
There is a pressure test port next to the shift solenoids, if you have a high pressure oil gauge you could see what the pressure is.

It may be gear box problem you need to check with trunk....
