96 Accord Auto makes grrrr sound at around 2k rpm
Hi, I got my timing belt changed 1k miles ago, right after changing it the car would make a grrr sound when shifting gears around 2krpm. there was a belt rubbing sound as well.
Brought it back to the mechanic. they said it need to "break in" couldn't wait when to the parent shop. they said belt was too tight. They fixed that, but still made the grrrr sound.
I had to move to another state so couldn't deal with them any longer. could it be bad timing installation or the infamous tranny problem? I'm thinking they did a bad job cause on my road trip my cruise control doesn't work as well
I also read that the 96-97 cap and rotors can't be adjusted for timing. did I read wrong?
