ok ive got a 92 accord ex that will not start or even turn over. all it does is click once when you turn the key (no its not the battery it only clicks once) but the thing is you can push start it and it will start right up and run fine. i have changed the starter with a brand new one and changed the battery any suggestions will be apprecaited thank you for you time

Terminals are clean and tight both ends of the cables.

What is the voltage at the small wire on the starter when someone tried to start it.

Last, find a strange plastic piece in the floor board lately.

both terminals are tight and clean and i already twisted the wires under the dash by the clutch. i will check the voltage and get back to you

hopefullyyou can figure this out...my crx does the same thing....all i hear is the acc. relay click when i try to turn it over....gl

Do the voltage drop test on positive and ground cables to begin with.looks like there is not enough voltage to turn the motor.

your starters bad, if your starter is bad you can still turn on your car but like u said u have to compression (push start) start it, but if it was somethin else your car wouldn't turn on even if you wanted to push start

try starting it with the key and have a friend or somebody else use the end of a broom to tap on the solenoid of the starter at the same time.

well i i ghetto rigged my car to were it starts now. what wrong is the starter isnt getting power but i can take a peice of wire and touch it from my positive termanil to my starter and it starts right up. so instead of finding the short in the wire i just ran a new one and it starts everytime. thanks for the help guys

Clutch switch.....there should be two on the clutch pedal.....but you got it going.
