Default 2003 Accord Coupe Turbo

hmm, there is this kid that has one of these beauty's with a turbo setup, but does not want to pop the hood.

Is it or do they make a turbo for this car already...i'm not thinking that it is a swap, because it is still a six speed, so that rules out the h22...any information on what kind of number this kid could be possibly putting to the wheels?

unless its a custom job, this kid has no turbo. thats probably why he doesnt want to pop the hood.

I have heard that one guy did it but he has not shown any proof to it. Honda cast part of the the exhaust mani to the block or something like that so I heard that it was pretty much not possible. Unless the kid had a lot of custom motor work done

how old is he?? if seems like some young rich stupid punk kid he is probably lying.

if he doesn't pop the hood, then ask him to race. if he smokes you and you here a BOV then maybe he is not lying.

thx for what i thought was correct guys...but here's the deal...bov is there, and it's not the fake speakers thatthe ricers all have that makes the noise.

Also, he is about 28 or so, and this kid (man) did spend some serious cash in the car, because i know it was in a shop for a while and it's been know that he has not lost per his friends as yet!!!

To make it more interesting, the guys at the shop aren't fans of mine because my 2 hybrids and cousins ls/vtec has whipped all their cars except for when they spray..it's more a ricer shop that is now learning about internals.

He challenged my cousin to a highway race, but not a quarter mile race...which makes no sense if he ahs a turbo, and he knows my cousins setup. To make another twist, his turbo is useless on the highway because of traffic...unless he plans to do this at night like in the am time...i dunno.

I guess i'm trying to research about possible setups before i make my cousin go forward with anything..thx for the info guys

will let you kow details if i ever to see this kids engine bay

if he doesnt want people to know what's under the hood he shouldnt be blabbering about having a turbo.

race him and see what's up.

What color 7th Gen Coupe is he driving? I know of one in your area who has a working turbo setup on his AV6.

BTW-a highway race is not pointless for him.

High speeds are best for a boosted FWD 6-speed. He probably spins untill 4th, (if he's for real)

Yep...that is mrImage. Turbo was installed, I think, by Gismark. You can read the whole story on this thread. http://www.v6performance.net/f...ber=1

Damn...I was thinking of trading in for the TSX in three years. Now it looks like V6 coupe all over again!

What do you think? vtec.net's test drive confirms the TSX is the superior handler, while the V6 Accord Coupe rules in straight line.

I think the TSX would probably be better in city driving.

If you don't intend to do any mods, I will go with the TSX but the 7th Gen AV6 has a lot of potential. AEM used my car as a prototype for the V2 and it made some 20+ HP. I'll attach the dyno.
